blindsight

Blind sight

They are two different types of culture presented in the movie. One is western culture and the second is Tibetan culture.  One woman from Germany and one guy from America and both are western and the culture is based in Christianity. On the other side the Tibetan traditional is based on Buddhistm. The Tibetans believe the blindness is a kind of punishment, but western people have the ability to achieve.

They are many challenges that people face in the movie. To make children understand that they are equal to human beings. Training the blind how to climb with no risk, how to use the climbing equipment. Supporting the girl with two blind brothers and father.

Examples of stereotyping, prejudice, and bias: the traditional Tibetan view of blindness; the difficulty Tashi, the street kid, had in gaining acceptance from the other children.

The personality challenges are the burning of Tashi's body.

Benefits because of different culture: the Tibetan girl gets a place in an English school mixed with western culture. Also benefit to western man and women that live in Tibetan culture. Finally Tashi finds his father because of western support.
